Install and Configure W3 Total Cache

Here we explain how to install and configure W3 Total Cache for WordPress.  You will only need one website caching plugin. More than one can cause 500 Errors.  By utilizing WordPress caching you can increase performance for your site.

W3 Total Cache Setup

1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard
2. From the WordPress dashboard click Plugins and then click Add New on the left hand side
   
3. Search W3 Total Cache
   
   
4. Click Install Now then click Activate
5. On the left menu, you should now have a Performance section
6. Click Performance and then click General Settings
   
   
7. Scroll down the General Settings page ensuring that each main section is enabled
   1. The recommended settings are:
      1. Page Cache: Enabled (Disk: Enhanced)
      2. Database Cache: Enabled
      3. Object Cache: Enabled
      4. Browser Cache: Enabled
      5. Fragment Cache: Disk
         NOTE: While Fragment Cache is recommended, it is a paid feature of W3 Total Cache Pro.
         
8. After enabling these settings, click Save Settings and Purge Caches
