Install a WordPress Plugin

Here we discuss steps to follow to install a plugin on a WordPress site using the built-in Plugin search tool.  Access to the WordPress administrator dashboard will be needed to complete this task.

Install a Plugin

1. Log into to the WordPress administrator dashboard
   1. This is done by adding wp-admin to the end of the domain URL
      EXAMPLE: domain.com/wp-admin
      REPLACE: replace domain.com with the domain that is being accessed
      NOTE: If a security plugin is being used or a hide URL plugin the login page may be different
2. On the right side menu, locate and hover over Plugins
   
   
3. Click Add New
4. Use the search bar to locate the desired plugin, search keywords, or browse the most commonly installed plugins
   
   TIP: Click Details next to any plugin to learn more information about it.
5. Click Install Now when ready
   
6. Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin
