Install Ruby via Passenger in WHM
IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
TIP: Ruby can now be managed per cPanel user via the Ruby Gems option in each individual cPanel.
- Log into Root WHM
- Navigate to EasyApache 4, located in the Software section
- Click the Customize button on the Currently Installed Packages section
- Navigate to the Ruby via Passenger option in the left menu
- Toggle the options ruby24-build, ruby24-ruby-doc, and ruby24-ruby
NOTE: Some of these packages will toggle other packages to install. These are dependencies, so leave them toggled. - Continue clicking the Next button until you reach Review
- Click Provision to install Ruby on the server
