Here we cover the steps to follow to submit a Website Transfer Request (WTR) in AMP to move a website from another host to your InMotion Hosting account.
Some things to know prior to submitting a WTR; the transferring of Domain Registrations is not handled during this process, and emails are only migrated if they are part of the cPanel backup.
All website migration services should be requested from the hosting plan where the website(s) / cPanel(s) will live on. Migrations services are available for a fee via our migration team.
If the account you are working with has available Launch Assist time, the managed hosting team will ensure that it is included in the estimate of the time and cost required to complete the transfer.
If you choose to transfer your website yourself, we have a comprehensive and resourceful support center. Troubleshoot your issues with extensive step-by-step articles, education channels, and customer-driven community support forums.
Migrations requests will be completed for free as long as the customer provides and uploads a full cPanel account backup from their previous host to be restored as-is with InMotion Hosting.
Any custom restoration request may incur additional service fees.
