Import WordPress Site Using Softaculous

Below we discuss steps to follow to import a WordPress site into Softaculous. The WordPress site that is being imported will need to already be uploaded to the server. We will use the Softaculous Apps Installer in cPanel to accomplish this task.

Import WordPress Site

TIP: Softaculous is included for free on every Shared and Managed VPS hosting plan by default. If on a Dedicated server, a license must be purchased following Purchase Softaculous License.

1. Log in to the appropriate cPanel
2. In the Software section, select Softaculous Apps Installer
   
   
3. Under the Blogs category, select WordPress
4. Click Import on the WordPress page
   
5. Fill in the protocol, domain, and directory where the site resides
   
6. Click the Import button
