This guide explains setting up a cronjob to ensure AutoSSL runs. This can help resolve issues with AutoSSL not renewing automatically. Access to Root WHM will be needed to complete this process on VPS and Dedicated servers.
Set AutoSSL Cronjob
IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
- Log into Root WHM
- Click on Manage AutoSSL in the SSL/TLS area
- On the Providers tab, set the provider to Disabled and click the blue Save button
- Once the settings have saved, go back to the Manage AutoSSL page and repeat step 3 but instead set the provider to cPanel (powered by Sectigo) and click the blue Save button.
- This will create the cronjob for AutoSSL in the path /etc/cron.d/cpanel_autossl
