Enable Let's Encrypt AutoSSL for Default Hostname/Services on CWP

In CWP's SSL certificate management, the activate options allow you to enable automatic SSL certificate renewals and automatic SSL generation.

By activating these options, you ensure that SSL certificates for your hosted domains are automatically renewed before they expire, and new SSL certificates are generated for domains added to your web server.

This streamlines the SSL certificate management process, reducing the need for manual intervention and ensuring continuous security for your websites and services. It's an essential feature for maintaining secure and up-to-date SSL certificates in CWP.

Here, we cover the steps to ensure the default hostname and service SSL certificates are installed and set to automatically renew through Let's Encrypt AutoSSL in the Control Web Panel (CWP).

Enable Hostname/Service SSLs for Auto-Renewal

IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.

  1. Log into CWP Admin
  2. Navigate to WebServer Settings

  3. Click on SSL Certificates
    CWPAdminSSLCertificates.png
     
  4. Select the Configure tab

  5. Ensure that Auto Renewals and Automatic SSL Generation are set to Activate
