- Log into cPanel
- Navigate to File Manager, located in the Files section
- Locate the site's document root
- Rename the .htaccess file or comment out the redirect in the file
TIP: If .htaccess is not present, show hidden files in File Manager.
CAUTION: Renaming the .htaccess file or commenting out the specific redirect in the .htaccess may cause the site to go down temporarily, depending on the site's specific configuration. Once the .htaccess has been restored, normal functionality will resume. - Run AutoSSL
- From cPanel, navigate to SSL/TLS Status, located in the Security Section
- Click the Run AutoSSL button
- From cPanel, navigate to SSL/TLS Status, located in the Security Section
- Once AutoSSL has finished installing, rename the .htaccess file back to its original name of .htaccess, or uncomment the redirect
