These steps explain how to exclude a domain from AutoSSL. This can be disabled within cPanel from the SSL/TLS Status utility. Excluding a domain from AutoSSL is useful if the domain has not been registered yet and you do not want AutoSSL to run on it. Also, if the domain is pointed to another host or server and you are getting AutoSSL errors this will help prevent further failure notifications.
The error message appears as follows:
DNS DCV: No local authority: “domain.com”; HTTP DCV: “domain.com” does not resolve to any IP addresses on the internet.

- Log into cPanel
- Navigate to SSL/TLS Status, located in the Security section
- Locate the domain or subdomain you wish to exclude
- Click the Exclude from AutoSSL option
