Submit Request to Merge Multiple cPanel Accounts

Here we will cover how to request InMotion's assistance to merge multiple cPanel accounts. This is mainly used to reduce the number of cPanel accounts in use to allow a downgrade to either the cPanel license or the hosting plan. This request will be submitted from your Account Management Panel (AMP).

Submit Merge Request

1. On the My Account page in AMP, locate and click the Website Transfer Request button
   
   NOTE: This is a fee-based service.
2. Click the Transfer A Website icon
   NOTE: You can only have one ongoing request at a time.
3. Fill out the form on the following page
   
   
   1. Select InMotion Hosting as the host
   2. Select Yes for cPanel question
   3. Ensure 2FA has been disabled
      NOTE: Sometimes 2FA has been enabled within the cPanel, and it would need to be disabled as we proceed to access your site file to complete the migration. 
   4. Under additional information, include the following:
      1. Primary cPanel username - this is the cPanel where everything will end up
      2. Secondary cPanel username(s) - this is the cPanel(s) that will be merged into the primary cPanel
      3. Any additional details
         NOTE: When completing the form, providing necessary and complete details can limit the delay in completing your request.
   5. Provide the domain name(s) being worked with
   6. Confirm the Preferred Contact Method
   7. Decide if you wish to pay extra for a Priority transfer
      NOTE: Customers with Priority Migration Requests are among the first in our queue to have their requests reviewed by the transfer specialist. Agents work between M-F 9am - 9pm and for priority migrations, initial follow-up occurs within 8 business hours. Due to various unknown variable(s), we are not able to guarantee a time of completion, but we aim to process all ( Priority or Standard ) requests within 1 - 4 business days.

5. Review the displayed information
6. Select Submit when ready to send your Website Transfer Request
