Here we will cover installing and enabling PHP-FPM (FastCGI Process Manager) on CentOS Web Panel (CWP).
Enabling PHP-FPM
IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow this guide on requesting root access.
- Access CWP Admin by logging in as root
- Navigate to PHP-FPM Selector, located in the PHP Settings section
- Select Installed versions to filter by the installed version
- Ensure that the PHP-FPM version is not already installed
- Select All versions to stop filtering by installed versions
- Locate the PHP version to install PHP-FPM on
- Using the Drop-down, select the PHP-FPM version to enable and install
- Click Save and Build
- Confirm the installation is correct by reviewing the confirmation dialog that appears
- Click Start Compile (build and install)
NOTE: This process can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
TIP: You will see a dialog box once this process has begun - Once the process has finished, there will be a PHP-FPM status in the initial PHP section chosen for the installation marked as running
- PHP-FPM installation can be confirmed by clicking the blue button with the i logo
TIP: You will see a systemctl status of the PHP-FPM version just installed.
