Change Term
IMPORTANT: If you have Managed WordPress Hosting, you will need to use our Upgrade or Downgrade Managed WordPress Hosting Plan article.
CAUTION: Some add-on subscriptions may update to the new term length if any term changes are made.
NOTE: If you want to change the term length and plan type, you will need to change the term length first and then process the upgrade or downgrade.
-
While in AMP, hover over the Billing tab and select My Subscriptions
-
Locate the line item for the hosting plan in question and find the Change Term column
-
Click the Select Renewal Term drop-down to see the other term options available for your hosting plan
IMPORTANT: Processing a change of the plan term will keep the current term length until the next renewal date. On that renewal date, you will be charged the amount shown under Renewal Price, and then the Renewal Date will adjust accordingly.
-
As soon as you select an option, a box will appear displaying the new term and the renewal cost, along with an acknowledgment that you must review and check to agree to
NOTE: If a hosting plan has linked add-ons, the box will provide term change information for those as well.
TIP: If you hit cancel, no changes are made, and you are returned to the My Subscriptions page. - Select Change Term to process the change
IMPORTANT: After clicking Change Term, the change is reflected immediately on the account. No money is taken, no renewal is processed, just the term is changed. The renewal payment will be due on the renewal date shown on the page. This means there is no prorate for lessening the term or refund due either. The new term takes effect after the old term has expired. -
As soon as you select an option, you will see a note that the Renewal Term Updated Successfully to confirm the change was processed
