Finding Public IP Address on Your Local Network

This article goes over how to find your public IP address. Finding this IP can be useful when you need to whitelist a specific IP address or check server logs for specific activity from a device or network.

Finding Your IP Address

1. Visit one of the following sites to display your public IP
   
   1. inmotionhosting.com/ip
   2. whatsmyip.net
   3. whatismyipaddress.com
   4. whatismyip.com
2. You can also perform a Google search for what is my IP

NOTE: Be sure to retrieve the IPv4 address, as InMotion Hosting does not support IPv6 addresses at this time.
