Using the File Manager in Minecraft

Your Minecraft Server Hosting plan includes access to a Game Management Panel where you can manage your instances. Within the Game Management Panel is a File Manager tool that makes viewing or editing files and folders simple. This guide will show you how to use the File Manager in your Game Management Panel.

Use File Manager

1. Log into the Game Management Panel
2. Click the File Manager link in the Main Menu
   NOTE: You will then see your available folders listed.
   
3. You can click a folder to open it
4. Click the first directory in the list .. to go back up a level
   
5. Click / (the forward slash) to go all the way up to the top level
   TIP: On the top right, you can toggle the view between Compact List, List, and Grid.
6. Click the circular arrow to refresh the listing
7. Find a file with the Search field on the top right of the screen
8. Select a file to view additional information
   1. Size
   2. Date it was created
   3. Date it was last modified
   4. View if you have permission to edit or download the file
   5. View the full path
      
9. You can also toggle the switch to exclude this file from backups
   
   
10. Click the three dots to the right of the file to view additional options
    1. Download
    2. Edit
    3. Copy
    4. Paste
    5. Rename
    6. Exclude from backups
    7. Trash
       
       
11. Double-click a file to open it in the editor, so you can modify the file as needed
    TIP: You can use the buttons on the top right to Save, Reload, or Close the file.
