MySQL is the most popular open source SQL database management system and is used by many popular website applications, such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. To install such applications you will first need to create a database and user.

Create Database
- Log into cPanel
- Navigate to MySQL Database Wizard, located under the Databases section
- Enter a name for the new database in the New Database field and click Next Step
- Enter a username in the Username field
- Enter a strong password in the Password field or use the Password Generator button to create a random password, then enter the same password in the Password (Again) field
- Click Create User
- Click the checkbox beside ALL PRIVILEGES or manually select which privileges you wish to grant to the user then click either Make Changes or Next Step
