Remove Files in cPanel for Backup Storage ToS Violation

Here we will cover what to do if an email is received regarding backup storage on the server. The email will advise that the storage of backups is against the Terms of Service and the backups will need to be removed from the server.

You are able to resolve this issue by accessing, downloading, and deleting any of the files that are mentioned in the email.

Finding and Deleting the Backups in File Manager

1. Access the appropriate cPanel account
2. Navigate to File Manager, located in the Files section
   
3. Navigate to the specific file path provided in the Terms of Service violation email
4. Click the file to select it
5. Click Download at the top of the page if you need to download/save the file
   
6. Now that the file has been downloaded, you can Delete the file
   CAUTION: This action will be irreversible, make sure if wanted that you've downloaded/saved the file(s) prior to performing.
