Optimize Website Icon Missing in cPanel

Gzip compression is a simple and effective way to save bandwidth and speed up your website. The Optimize Website feature is used to enabled Gzip compression in cPanel.

However, in some cases this feature may not be visible. There are two potential situations where this option may be missing - when it is not enabled in the feature list being used by your cPanel account and when the mod_deflate Apache module is not installed. Here we cover the steps to add the Optimize Website feature to a Feature List.

Review Feature List

1. Log into WHM
2. Navigate to Packages -> Feature Manager
   
3. Select the feature list to be modified from the drop-down and click the Edit button
   
   NOTE: If this section is not visible, you will need to create a new feature list using the "Add a new feature list" function on this page before proceeding.
   
4. Locate Optimize Website and ensure it is checked

5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page
