If you can log into cPanel but not WHM on your VPS or Dedicated server, this is most commonly caused by the primary or reseller cPanel account not having the required privileges.
When this occurs, attempting to log in to WHM from AMP will lead to a login page instead of opening WHM. Upon entering login credentials, you will receive an error stating, The login is invalid.

IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
- Log into Root WHM
- Navigate to Account Functions>Modify an Account
- Select the primary cPanel user and click the Modify button
- Under Privileges, check the box next to Reseller Privileges, then click the Save button
- Expand the Resellers drop-down and click Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges
- Select the primary cPanel user and click the Submit button
- Check all options except those labeled Global Privileges or Super Privileges
- Click the Save All Settings button at the bottom of the page
