Here, we'll discuss how to fix a problem that can happen when trying to install BoldGrid. If you see Error 43: An installation already exists
, it means the domain selected to install BoldGrid on already has an installation present in Softaculous.
You will need to ensure that the selected domain is correct. Otherwise, the BoldGrid installation for the domain must be removed via Softaculous, then BoldGrid can be reinstalled once again.

Ensure Domain Correct
IMPORTANT: The following details should be checked before anything else to ensure the correct domain is used.
- Log into cPanel
- Open the Softaculous Apps Installer in the Software section
- Click Install on the BoldGrid icon
- In the Choose Domain section, ensure that the correct domain is selected
NOTE: The domain will differ from what is shown above. Ensure that the correct domain is selected here. - Attempt to reinstall BoldGrid after selecting the correct domain
- If the same error occurs, proceed to the steps below
Remove & Reinstall BoldGrid
CAUTION: The following method will permanently delete the BoldGrid installation from the domain so that a new one can be installed. It is highly recommended to create a backup before removing anything.
- Log into cPanel
- Open the Softaculous Apps Installer in the Software section
- Click on the blue box titled Installations
NOTE: Your number of installations may vary from the screenshot above. - Click the Red X next to the installation listed for the domain that you'd like to install BoldGrid on
- Install BoldGrid on the appropriate domain now that the old installation has been removed
