Change DNS Records Using cPanel Zone Editor

The following steps detail editing existing DNS records in cPanel Zone Editor. This is useful if pointing your domain or email to a third-party value is needed. 

Changes to DNS records can take 4 to 24 hours to propagate.  

Making DNS Changes in cPanel Zone Editor

1. Log into cPanel for the appropriate domain
2. Locate the Domains section and click on Zone Editor
   
   
3. Locate the domain that needs the DNS edit and click Manage
   TIP: Subdomains are not listed there, but you will find them under manage on the domain they are a subdomain of.
4. Find the record that needs changed and click Edit
   
   
5. Make the desired changes to the DNS record
6. Click Save Record
   
   
7. A green pop up will appear in the top right indicating success
