On cPanel version 84.0.5, the DNS cluster breaks with the error "Requires cPanel update to support DNSSEC", which prevents DNS changes from taking effect. This problem was resolved in cPanel v84.0.8, and at this time most servers should be using a newer version.
This article explains how to resolve this error if it is seen, as well as a workaround if needed. An example of the error message is as follows:

- As of cPanel v84.0.8 this issue has been resolved, so the solution is to update cPanel
NOTE: The error message will still show in the DNS cluster, but you can simply pick a domain that points to the IMH servers and update the Start of Authority (SOA) to make sure that the DNS cluster is still working.
Resolve DNSSEC Error Without Updating
IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access or an escalation to APS for those without T1E+ access.
- If cPanel cannot be updated to v84.08, the first thing to do is to verify the DNS Cluster is broken
- Log into Root WHM
- Navigate to DNS Cluster, located in the Clusters section
- Confirm the cluster is setup and shows the following error
Requires cPanel update to support DNSSEC.
- Set up the VPS or Dedicated server as the main DNS server
- Once done, the nameservers for all domains on the server will need to be updated to the newly created nameservers at the registrar for the domain in question
