Installing Joomla
- Log into the cPanel
- Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer, located in the Software section
- Select Joomla in the menu, located under Portals/CMS
NOTE: While Joomla 2.5 does show up in the suggested software list, Joomla 2.5 has reached its end of life and cannot be installed. - Click Install Now
- Fill in the installation details
- In the Software Setup

Choose Protocol
- Select whether to use HTTP or HTTPS

Choose Domain
- Select the domain or subdomain to install the site to

In Directory
- Select whether to install the site to a subdirectory
EXAMPLE: If you enter the directory "joomla" for the domain domain.com, the site would be installed to domain.com/joomla. If you want to install the site to the domain root (domain.com in this example), you'll want to leave this blank.
- Select whether to install the site to a subdirectory

Choose the version you want to install
NOTE: Joomla 2.5 has reached its end of life, so it is no longer being updated. In most cases you will want to choose the most up-to-date version.

- Enter the name of the site

- Enter a short description of the site

Admin Username
NOTE: This is the username you will use to log into the site. - Admin PasswordTIP: This is the password you will use to log into the site. Use the key icon to automatically generate a secure password if desired.

Real Name
- Select the name to associate with the admin account

Admin Email
- Select the email address to associate with the admin account
TIP: This email address will also be used for things like resetting the password.

NOTE: These options control some initial database settings. In most cases, you will not need to adjust these and should leave them as is.
- In the Software Setup
