The password for the user associated with your MySQL database is needed in order to connect the database to your website/application, to mange the database via command line, or to connect to the database remotely using an application such as MySQL Workbench.

- Log into cPanel
- Navigate to MySQL Databases, located under the Databases section
- Locate the database under the Current Databases section and make note of the user listed in the Privileged Users column
- Scroll to the Current Users section and click Change Password to the right of the user identified in the previous step
- Enter the desired password in the Password and Password (Again) fields or click the Password Generator button to generate a random one
- Click Change Password
