This guide goes over how to update and manage security questions for WHM access. This is a useful additional security measure for limiting access to WHM. To configure security questions access to Root WHM will be needed.

IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
- Log into Root WHM
- Under the Security Center area in Root WHM click Security Questions
- Click Edit Questions and Answers
- Four question and answer fields will display - select options from the drop-down or input customized ones
- Type in your answers to the questions
- Click Continue
- A message will display stating "Your security question answers are saved."
TIP: Anyone now attempting to log into the WHM account with an unknown IP address will be prompted to verify their identity by answering these security questions
- A message will display stating "Your security question answers are saved."
- Under the Security Center area in Root WHM click Configure Security Policies
- Check the box for Limit logins to verified IP addresses under Security Policy Items
- Click Save
TIP: WHM will now only ask for answers to the security questions when you connect from a new IP address. Each IP used and logged as a successful sign-in will be added to a list of Recognized IPs for "root".
NOTE: To view the list of Recognized IPs go to Security Center, then click Security Questions. Next, click Add or Remove Recognized IP Addresses.
