The skeleton directory provides a default set of files for newly created cPanel accounts on Reseller hosting and VPS+. Follow this guide to locate and modify the files to change their content or rebrand with your own logo.
Locate Skeleton Directory Files
IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
NOTE: The files in the skeleton directory will be used as a template for new accounts. For example, if an index.html file is placed in the skeleton directory's public_html directory and a new cPanel account is setup, the account will have a copy of the index.html in the public_html directory.
- VPS user with root
- SSH into the server as root
- Create the desired files in /root/cpanel3-skel
- SSH into the server as root
- Reseller
- The skeleton files will be in the home folder of the Reseller's cPanel account: /home/userna5/cpanel3-skel
- Using file manager, add or remove files from /home/userna5/cpanel3-skel
REPLACE: userna5 with the Reseller's cPanel account's username
