By default, your server's main IP address is assigned to newly created cPanel accounts. When an additional IP is added to the server, it typically would be used for a singular cPanel account while the others would continue to share the main IP.
In the event you want your existing cPanel accounts to share an IP other than the main server IP address or wish to change the IP assigned to newly created accounts, these changes can be made in Root WHM on your VPS or Dedicated server. Here we detail the steps to change the IP address assigned to new cPanel accounts when they are created and steps to change the IP for existing cPanel accounts.

IMPORTANT: This solution will require root access. If this needs to be obtained, follow the guide on requesting root access.
- Log into Root WHM
- Navigate to Server Configuration -> Basic WebHost Manager® Setup utility
- On the Basic Config tab, enter the new IP in the The IPv4 address (only one address) to use to set up shared IPv4 virtual hosts field
TIP: You can find a list of IP addresses currently provisioned to your server under IP Functions -> Show IP Address Usage - Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page
Change IP Address of Existing cPanel Accounts
- Navigate to IP Functions -> IP Migration Wizard
- Enter the new IP address
- Click the Continue button and complete the steps in the wizard
