Organizing your email can be very important, especially if you receive a large number of messages. Email filters play a major part in automating this task, as they can be used to route an email to a specific folder, redirect it to another email address, or discard it, among many other functions.
There are two types of email filters that can be created in cPanel - User Level Filters and Global Filters. The former can be used to create rules for a single email account, while the latter is applied to all of the email users on your cPanel account.

Create User Email Filters
- Log into cPanel
- Navigate to Email Filters, located under the Email section
- Click on Manage Filters next to the desired email account
- Click the Create a New Filter button
- Input the following information
- Filter Name: This is used for identification purposes and will not affect the functionality of the filter
- Rules: Specify the pattern for the filter to match
NOTE: There are many potential combinations that can be used. The + button to the right of the rule will allow you to add an additional rule. Once more than one rule has been added, you'll also have a drop-down to select and or or, which is used to specify whether the desired action should apply if ANY of the conditions are met or only when ALL of the conditions are met.
TIP: See cPanel's documentation for more detailed information on how to configure your filter. - Actions: Specify what the filter should do with messages that match the specified criteria
EXAMPLE: The above screenshot shows an example of a simple filter. This filter will automatically delete any emails where the From field contains "user@domain.com".
