After deleting autoresponders in cPanel, the autoresponder for the email account is still active.

Remove Autoresponder Folder
- Log into the cPanel
- Navigate to Autoresponders, located in the Email section
- Review current autoresponders and confirm that relevant autoresponders are deleted
- Replicate the problem by sending an email to the relevant account
- Navigate to File Manager within cPanel, located in the Files section
- Locate the
/home/userna5/.autorespond
directory
REPLACE: userna5 with the cPanel username.
NOTE: Autoresponders are stored in the .autorespond directory and every responder has a text and JSON version. - If the deleted autoresponder still has entries in the .autorespond directory
- Create a backup of the directory .autorespond
- Delete the file and the .json files
- Re-test the account
TIP: If the issue persists, rename the .autorespond directory. If renaming the directory fixes the issue, the desired autoresponders may need to be recreated from the previous directory.
