These steps explain how to create a new email account for personal use, business use, or on behalf of someone else. Access to cPanel will be needed to complete this process.
Sending a password reset link to an alternate email address during the creation process is also explained. This is useful if you are setting up an email account on someone else's behalf.
Email Account Creation
- Log into cPanel
- Under the Email section, locate and click Email Accounts
- Click the blue +CREATE button
- Under the Domain dropdown, choose the preferred domain
- In the Username box, input the preferred email address username
- Under Password, select Set password now or Send login link to alternate email address
NOTE: If the email is being made for someone else, an email can be sent to the user to allow them to create the password themselves. If you would like to do this, select the "Send login link to alternate email address" option. - If needed, you can set the storage space and folder creation options under Optional Settings
- Click the blue +CREATE button to finish the email account creation process
